Problems in the control of the pea and bean weevil (Sitona lineatus).
In: UNSPECIFIED.
Injury by larvae of Sitona lineatus (L.) to the roots of pea and bean (Vicia faba) plants has been shown to cause a significant crop loss in the UK. The results are presented of trials in southern England showing that injury can be prevented by applying granules of chlorfenvinphos or phorate in the seed furrow, or phorate on the seeds, or by spraying permethrin on the foliage.
