Amino-acids in soil

ALTHOUGH the protein nature of at least one-third of the organic nitrogen of soil has been established, very little is known of the amino-acid composition of this protein material. The isolation of amino-acids from soil hydrolysates is rendered difficult by the presence of large amounts of extraneous inorganic and organic material. RESP-02857
