Abstract

A tensioned conveyor belt is described on which fibrous pulp is pressed between the belt and a perforated pulley. For an expenditure of 1 h.p., it can handle up to 3 t/h of fresh leaf pulp and reduce its moisture content from ∼ 87 to ∼ 70%.
