Abstract | From his earliest research onward, Philip Gregory retained an interest in the liberation and dispersal of fungal spores. His work was nurtured by his personal susceptibility to respiratory diseases and by early recognition of plant disease distribution as a subject worthy of much closer study. With an enquiring mind, a love of fungi in action and experience ranging through dermatophytes, flowering bulbs, the spread of potato viruses, human allergy and cocoa diseases, Philip Gregory restored mycological aerobiology as an important scientific study. |
