Abstract

In latin square experiments in 1973 and 1974, reinfection of sprayed barley, by mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. hordei) was decreased by widely spacing the plots. In 1974, when yields differed between plots which were either contiguous or separated, the results suggested different times to spray for best yield increase.
